While there are dozens of amazing bars and nightclubs in Las Vegas, few compare to the ambiance and offerings of the new Troy Liquor Bar. Overlooking downtown Vegas, Troy Liquor Bar has earned the title of the only nightclub on the Freemont Street Experience. If the name sounds familiar, it may because of the nightclub’s other location. If you’ve ever been to New York City, you may recognize the name from the Troy Liquor Bar in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District. The Las Vegas location has set up shop at the Golden Nugget Casino, in the space that previously held Gold Diggers.
Troy Liquor Bar is very new to Las Vegas, having only opened in early December 2019. Currently, the nightclub is open four days a week from Thursday to Sunday from 9 PM to 4 AM. Hearing the name of the club, you may think that you’ll only find alcohol there. However, this isn’t true. The bar is actually a full nightclub with a dance floor, live DJs, an extensive alcohol menu, and other entertainment in the form of gambling. As the club sits on the second floor of the Golden Nugget Casino, it also boasts amazing views of Freemont Street and all of the fun activities that are always going on there.
So, what can you expect when you visit Troy Liquor Bar in Vegas? The first thing you may notice when you walk in is the massive bar that sits along one wall. The nightclub also has plenty of space for dancing, VIP booths for guests who prefer to sit and relax, and blackjack tables where some lucky patrons may walk away with cash. As there is drinking and gambling, Troy Liquor Bar is only available to guests age 21 or older. If you are planning on getting a VIP table for your group, be sure to call ahead and make a reservation for table service.
Planning a trip to downtown Las Vegas to visit Troy Liquor Bar? If so, there are a few things you should know before showing up. First, you can find the club entrance on the northwest corner of the Golden Nugget property. Valet and self-parking are available at the resort if you choose to drive your own vehicle. You also have the option of hailing a taxi or renting a private vehicle or limo which is a smart idea if you plan on drinking.
The music at Troy Liquor Bar changes from night to night. There is a rotation of live DJs which means each evening offers something new in terms of entertainment. Head to the bar and grab a Troy Tea, Old Fashioned, Royal Buck, or a White Gummy Bear. Between the drinks, music, and overall atmosphere, Troy Liquor Bar offers patrons a laidback place to hangout without the hefty cover price that comes with entry into nightclubs on The Strip.
Troy Liquor Bar takes up more than 4,000 square feet on the second level of the Golden Nugget. If you have ever been to their New York City location, you will recognize a similar feel. However, the Vegas location offers a sophisticated uniqueness with its plush lounge seating, porcelain tile walls, and innovative sound system. The overall environment is ultra-trendy, ensuring you will want to return again and again. If you’re not yet sold, check it out for yourself the next time you’re in Las Vegas.
